Cookie Policy
1. The short version
Cookies are tiny text files your browser stores when you visit a site. We use as few as we can get away with on https://pyjadvisory.comand group them into three buckets: the ones the site needs to work, anonymous analytics so we can stop guessing, and a marketing bucket that’s currently empty. No ad networks, no third‑party data resale, no behavioural profiling.
2. Strictly necessary
The bare minimum to make the site work and remember what you decided in the banner. Always on, no consent required under UK GDPR / PECR.
- pyj_consent, remembers your cookie choice for 12 months so we’re not pestering you on every visit.
3. Analytics (opt-in)
We use analytics to see which pages are doing the work and which ones we should rewrite or kill. None of this is set until you accept analytics in the banner.
- Google Analytics 4, sets
_gaand_ga_*cookies (up to 2 years) to distinguish unique visitors. IP addresses are anonymised. Consent Mode v2 means zero data is collected until you opt in. - Microsoft Clarity, sets
_clckand_clskcookies (1 year and 1 day respectively) to record anonymised heatmaps and session replays so we can see where visitors get stuck. Text inputs and sensitive fields are masked by default.
We also use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, both are cookieless and only collect anonymised, aggregated page‑view and performance numbers. UK GDPR doesn’t require consent for these, but they’re named here so you know they exist.
4. Marketing (opt-in)
Reserved for paid campaign tracking (e.g. LinkedIn Insight Tag) if we ever run any. Right now we run none, so this bucket is empty. If that changes, this page updates and the banner asks for fresh consent, we won’t silently re-purpose your old answer.
5. Changing your choice
You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the link below or by clearing the pyj_consent cookie and reloading the page. You can also disable cookies in your browser settings.
